This page uses a regular Bible.  And I stamped this favorite Unity Stamp on my page in black . Then I colored it in with marks.

Make sure before adding stamp place a piece of paper or plastic behind the page, to stop bleeding through to next page.

Today my bible group is journaling about this wonderful verse from Psalm. 

 Verse 19 :6

 And there is nothing hid from the heat thereof — There is no part of the earth which doth not, at one time or other, feel the comfort and benefit of its light and heat; and there is no creature which does not, more or less, partake of its influence.

 is done in colored pencils - and water colored sky. First mix water and blue paint and let drip on page.

Make sure you slip a piece of plastic between the pages for protection. Let Dry. The with colored pencil I add Sun ( yellow / orange)  and Land below ( brown /Green) .   Lisa

Nothing from the Heat : 

And there is nothing hid from the heat thereof - The rays of the sun penetrate everywhere. Nothing escapes it. It is not a mere march for show and splendor; it is not an idle and useless journey in the heavens; but all things - vegetables, birds, beasts, men - all that lives - feel the effect of his vital warmth, and are animated by his quickening influence. Thus the sun in his goings illustrates the glory of God. 1 Samuel 3:8-9  …Then Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy. So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant  is listening.’

God wants to speak with us

In this moment of time not many people were hearing God speak, ‘The revelation of God was rarely heard or seen’. We often think that the reason people weren’t hearing God speak is because God wasn’t speaking. The reality is though that God is always looking to speak with his people. In fact the Father’s desire to connect with us is greater than our desire to speak with him.

 

May : Lilly of the Valley

The May birth flowers are the lily of the valley and hawthorn.

Thus, lilies represent rebirth and hope, just as the resurrection does in the Christian faith. Lilies are also mentioned or alluded to several times in the Bible. Some think that it was white lilies that sprouted in the Garden of Eden as Eve's remorseful tears fell to the ground.

Matthew 5 : 28 -30

And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 

Jesus was advising his followers not to worry about material needs, like clothing and food, because God would provide for them, just as he provides for the lilies in the fields.

Sunday project

This Sunday: I am sharing a Bible journaling post I made in a small notebook.  I keep in my purse.  

You don't need to buy any special supplies to make this project.  

The background is handmade with watercolor paper in blue. The flowers where punch from scrapbook paper.  And the verse printed from the computer.  And wasbi tape to finish it all from my  paper stash.

What is Bible journal? Why do it ? 

Many of us have a grandparent with a well-loved Bible. It’s dog-eared from years of reading, and no matter where you open it, you find handwritten notes, prayer requests, highlights, and underlines. This is a form of Bible journaling.

Bible journaling is simply about reading your Bible devotionally and taking time to respond to the insights you receive. For many, this means spending time exercising their creativity by responding to God’s Word artistically

My verse for Sunday : 

Meaning : 

These verses are the desire of God’s heart for His people. What more do we need?   If God of the universe, the Creator of all things is favorable toward us then we need nothing more. God only wants the best for His children. His desire is to bless us.
