:2 Women of the Bible

Women of the Bible :

The moral of the Story of Esther, for children, is to always do the right thing, using the influence you possess to help others as Esther does in the story. Esther was a noble biblical figure, who when called by God, saved the Jewish people of Persia.

 Lydia

And Lydia was the first in that community to believe in Jesus Christ, the first Christian convert on the European continent. As a newly baptized Christian, Lydia extended the invitation to Paul and Silas and other co- workers to come and stay at her home.

Sunday Bible Journaling

Sunday's Bible Journaling :  1 Peter

Thanks for stopping in for my weekly bible journaling post. This was today's sermon in our Church this morning.  Enjoy and join Me  next Sunday ! Lisa

 1 Peter 1 8-9

8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Peter reminds us that as we walk through this Christ-rejecting sinful world, that our miracle of new birth guarantees that we are also being kept IN this world by the power of God.. for a glory that is set before us - reserved for us in heaven.

Perfect Love

God’s Love Is Unconditional

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Thankful Grateful Blessed

 Thankful Grateful Blessed

A psalm. For giving grateful praise.

1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2     Worship the Lord with gladness;
    come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
    we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Set Us Free

Galatians 5:1 NLT -

So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law.

Verse means :

But lest anyone make the mistake of thinking that God does not care how we act, Paul is quick to remind his readers that our freedom is not intended to cause us to sin, but rather to love God and one another, to be humble, and to serve
