Movie and a Snack : Labor Day Weekend

 

Movie and Snacks at the Library ! 

This Saturday I am planning a Movie and Snacks for a afternoon at the library 
with the kids. It's the End of Summer fun for Labor day ! 


We are binge watching the Madagascar series on the Big Screen: 



Move it! Move it! 4 pampered animals from New York's Central Park Zoo 
find themselves shipwrecked on the exotic island of Madagascar, and discover 
it really IS a jungle out there! Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer 
and Jada Pinkett Smith lead an all-star cast of hilarious animals, including 
four mischievous penguins and legions of lemurs. It's a film that you'll
 go wild for again and again!

Snack time  Animal cracker snack mix 




Ingredients

  • 2 cups popcorn (popped)
  • 2 cups wheel pretzels
  • 2 cups goldfish crackers
  • 2 cups fruity cereal (Fruit Loops)
  • 2 cups M&Ms
  • 2 cups frosted animal crackers

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl and enjoy!
  2. Great for kids of all ages!
Crafts with paper plates 
Tissue paper, construction paper and googly eyes.

Texas Chocolate Sheet Cake

  The perfect cake for my sons birthday dinner.... 2 C AP flour 2 C Sugar 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 C Sour Cream 2 Eggs 1 C butter 1 C Water 5 tablespoon unsweetened Cocoa powder Icing 6 Tablespoon Milk 5 tablespoon unsweetened Cocoa powder 1/2 C butter 4 C confectioner sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan. Make cake: Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl. Beat in sour cream and eggs. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in water and cocoa powder. Bring mixture to a boil then remove from the heat. Allow to cool slightly, then stir cocoa mixture into the flour and egg mixture until blended. Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out . About 20 minutes.
