Air conditioner the heat has been brutal with No rain. The town opened up cooling center to help.
Gas : our town had a leak so thay turned off the towns gas for 48 hours. We were okay,I'm mostly electric. But no hot showers, since our water heater is gas.
Bbq with neighbors because they cook with gas. So we invited them over for a impromptu dinner.
Cucumber: my neighbor brought cucumbers with them. And I made my mother's n law cucumber salad.
Summer Reading program is ending today. And we pulled names for our adult grand prize ( a trip to B&B on the coast) And the kids grand prize a bike. Thanks to our sponsor for another great time. School starts on 8/13.
It's Harry Potter birthday
We would be in a similar situation to you with no gas - no hot water or hob but the ovens are electric and we have an air fryer and microwave so I'm sure we'd cope if it was short term. We also cope with no AC but it's been tough this week as our temps have been high too. Have a good weekend and hopefully no more cuts in services.
ReplyDeleteThanks, we can't do without air conditioner in Louisiana. But when we lived in Michigan it was a normal thing. It was an excuse for a bbq with neighbors.

A city gas leak sounds scary. Fun that you made a dinner with neighbors out of the situation. I copied that cucumber recipe and am going to try it.
