October: Breast Cancer Awareness

 

Happy Thursday - 

The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and I am joining the  fight with raising money  for research and more.

A glimpse of our town going pink. Race day with signs to mark the path. 

Making crafts to sell cards, rocks and pink ribbons.

Sunday Women Club Tea for a Cause : 

High  Tea to raise money and awareness at our local Women's Club chapter. To raise money for our local center.  

Each table is dedicated to a survivor  and we each decorated it with our personnel china and crystal.  Each  table was sold to raise money . We served Tea ,tea sandwiches and tiny cakes. And had a busy speaker from the hospital.

Also we voted on the decorated bra contest.

My Table : Salmon and Cream cheese tea sandwich

• loaf of white bread
• 1/2 C  cream cheese ,softened
• 1/2 lb thinly sliced smoked Salmon
• lemon juice to taste
• salt and pepper to taste
• dried parsley

Make sandwich: by spreading cream cheese on the bread, layer Salmon, and add lemon,parsley and seasoning to taste. Stake and Cut into 4 sections.
