S'mores Pie

Oven Bakes S'mores Pie:

  • 14 oz milk chocolate chips
  • 3/4 C heavy cream
  • 1 : 8 inch graham crust pie shell
  • 15 marshmallows

  1. Combine the chocolate chips and cream in a large microwave-safe bowl and heat for 2 1/2 minutes. Stir until completely smooth (the chocolate may appear separated at first, but just keep stirring). Pour into the prepared pie crust, loosely cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until set, about 4 hours or up to overnight.
  2. Preheat the broiler.
  3. Use kitchen shears to cut each marshmallow in half, on a bias, from one corner to the opposite corner. Arrange the marshmallow halves, cut-side down, on top of the chilled pie. Broil until golden, watching closely and rotating the pan as needed, about 1 minute. Let the pie cool completely, then cover loosely with plastic wrap and return to the fridge until the ganache sets again, 1 to 2 hours.

Christmas Train

Santa Claus is coming to town. And riding the train.
Every year while my son was growing up we visited the park in Michigan and ride the Christmas train and enjoyed the lights and music.  A wonderful time with great memories.
This year we are visiting the CPKS Christmas train here in Louisiana.  6 lighted trains with Santa raising money for the Salvation army.

Honey Bee and flowers

My flower watercolor and Bee!

THERE ARE DIFFERENT FLAVORS AND COLORS OF HONEY.

Honey’s depth of flavor is determined by the source of the nectar it was made from. Linden honey is delicate and woodsy, buckwheat honey is strong and spicy, and eucalyptus honey has a subtle menthol flavor. The darkness or lightness of certain honey varies as well. Bees in the southeastern U.S. have even been known to produce honey that’s deep purple in color, though scientists can’t agree why.

Apple Time

Its Apple Picking time:

Leaf Rubbing

Its Saturday Kids Craft Time:

Nature is Septembers theme for Kids craft time !  Today is all about falling leaves.

Gather up some fallen leaves. And lets have Fun!

Put a leaf upside down on the table.

2. Place a piece of paper over the leaf.

3. While holding the paper and leaf in place, use the side of a crayon to rub across the leaf.

4. Make sure that you color over the entire leaf. Rubbing firmly all over the leaf will show the veins and the outline of the leaf

5. A dark crayon will produce a clearer print of the leaf.

6. Do another leaf with different color crayon.

Be creative.
