After the pageantry and revelry of Mardi Gras, Louisiana's Catholics descend into a solemn season of fasting known as Lent. But each year, these quiet and reflective forty days are interrupted by a feast in honor of St. Joseph, Mary's husband and the earthly father figure for the child Jesus.
