Fav Friday

Happy Friday..the last Friday of May. Are you ready for Summer break?

Memorial day: we visited the local veterans memorial for a special event . Always so special.

Rain stopped after a week of showers. But the heat  and humidity made me thankful for air conditioning.

Happy Birthday Pam: we had a great celebration on our patio for Pam's birthday.. Strawberry cake was great hit from a local baker Sweet Swirls.

Mom's hydrangea bloomed. I thought the winter frost had killed the bush. But it finally bloomed. Sue stopped by for a clipping to plant in her yard in memory of my parents.

The library got a donation for books and supplies. Just in time for Summer Reading that starts June 1st. I'm thankful for all the community support.

From our local cake bakery....Sweet Swirls

My husband would love that cake. (I'm allergic to strawberries).
YAY for donations to the library. Summer is only about 3 weeks away and our public schools will graduate their seniors the last friday/Sat of June. the Elementary children will be a part of the Summer Reading program at our town library...my daughters used to love that!
    Happy Weekend!

  3. What a pretty cake. I love pink hydrangeas. Mine is a mix of lavender and blue. We've had the AC running, too. How wonderful the library got some donations of boos and supplies.

    1. You can change your hydrangea by changing the acid in the soil. We are a small independent library so any donations help

  5. Hi Lisa, I love your craft room! That cake looks so pretty! My roses need pruning but my back can't deal with it right now. I have a box of books that need to go to the library. Have a great week!

  6. That hydrangea is a gorgeous pink. I haven't seen one so pink around my parts. We've had days of rain with more to come. It's so damp and chilly the heat has come on in the house. I'll be thankful for some sunshine. That cake looks very tempting!
