Coffee , Cozy Mystery and Candy !

Welcome to my Home this Sunday !

It s   Coffee, Cozy Mystery books and Candy in October !

When a spooky celebration in Arborville, New Jersey conjures real scares, can Pamela and the Knit and Nibble Club sink their teeth into a bone-chilling mystery that just won’t rest in peace?

Among the countless revelers at the town’s much-anticipated Halloween parade, a woman dressed as Little Bo Peep is the only one making people scream bloody murder. In a scene straight out of a horror movie, the Knit and Nibblers find the nursery rhyme character dead with thick strands of yarn looped around her neck. Pamela and her best friend, Bettina, are set on pinning down who wanted the woman gone forever, but it’ll take every trick they can muster to catch the culprit without becoming the next poor souls to join Little Bo Peep’s dark, endless sleep . . .

Knitting tips and delicious recipes included!

Having Coffee :

 my book Review:

I am not a knitter, but I enjoyed meeting all the members of the Knitters Club and learning about their individual knitting projects. I have read all the previous books in this series and was entertained by the characters and the attempts to solve the mysteries. However, with this and the last book prior to this one, I find I am skipping ahead and don't want to read about what the characters are wearing multiple times per book as well as the coffee and tea prep with the wedding china and the step by step procedure in making the beverages plus the aisle by aisle shopping at the Co-op. Quite a few pages are devoted to these things which don't serve in any way to further the action. I do like the mysteries and appreciate the absence of language and sex and look forward to the next adventure.

Homemade Fudge :

  • 3 cups chocolate chips either semi-sweet or milk chocolate (18.6 ounces) see note 1
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk (see note 2)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Line an 8 inch by 8 inch baking dish with aluminim foil or two pieces of parchment paper overlapping to make an x.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk.
    • Place the pan over medium low heat. Stir consistently until the chocolate is partially melted. Stir in the vanilla extract.
    • Continue stiring until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth and starts to turn shiny.
      • Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. It will be very thick – if it doesn't pour well because of the thickness, don't stress, you're still on the right track. Once it is all in the pan, you can gently shake the pan back and forth to help it settle. You can also use a rubber spatula to spread it.
      • Allow the fudge to completely set. This can be done on the countertop and will take about four hours
