S'More Hodgepodge Please




Welcome to the last Wednesday Hodgepodge of the month. If you've answered today's questions add your link at the end of my post, and don't forget to leave a comment for your neighbor there before you run off. Here we go- What is one cliche you think is nonsense? What's one you think holds truth? 

I am not much of cliche but saying i am like my mother is so true. 

What's the last thing you broke and how did it happen? 

I broke a dish. I knocked off the counter. 
Are you a fan of s'mores? Have you had a s'more this summer? Last thing you ate that you wanted to ask for 's'more of'
I do eat them , No i haven't.

A mode of transportation you've never tried? Will you someday? 
I have tried most but rickshaw or moped  . I would love to . 

Believe it or not, next week's Hodgepodge lands in a brand new month. What's your happiest memory from the month we're bidding adieu? 
We had a quite August , but college just started and the library is back offering school help.

  Happy Homemaker Monday - 01/22/2024 Welcome to my Home this Monday morning ... its cloudy and expecting Rain but the temperatures  is warmer. My old house is not built for frizzing  weather with wood floors and house above ground but we made it. Lots of Hot coffee and biscuits for breakfast. Dinner in crockpot. Texas Chocolate Sheet Cake

  The perfect cake for my sons birthday dinner.... 2 C AP flour 2 C Sugar 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 C Sour Cream 2 Eggs 1 C butter 1 C Water 5 tablespoon unsweetened Cocoa powder Icing 6 Tablespoon Milk 5 tablespoon unsweetened Cocoa powder 1/2 C butter 4 C confectioner sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan. Make cake: Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl. Beat in sour cream and eggs. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in water and cocoa powder. Bring mixture to a boil then remove from the heat. Allow to cool slightly, then stir cocoa mixture into the flour and egg mixture until blended. Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out . About 20 minutes. While the cake is baking, make icing: Combine milk, cocoa powder, and butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, the
