Happy Homemaker Monday - 01/22/2024 Welcome to my Home this Monday morning ... its cloudy and expecting Rain but the temperatures is warmer. Last week we had an Artic blitz in Louisiana which stopped everything here. Weather : 65/49 71/62 73/65 Rain 70/59 Rain 73/57 Rain From my camera : I wonder what Callie is thinking of? Inquiring minds want to know> My Day : Iam sitting here in sweats writing this post. And glad the deep freeze is over. My old house is not built for frizzing weather with wood floors and house above ground but we made it. Lots of Hot coffee and biscuits for breakfast. Dinner in crockpot. Sandwich for Lunch. The perfect cake for my sons birthday dinner.... 2 C AP flour 2 C Sugar 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 C Sour Cream 2 Eggs 1 C butter 1 C Water 5 tablespoon unsweetened Cocoa powder Icing 6 Tablespoon Milk 5 tablespoon unsweetened Cocoa powder 1/2 C butter 4 C confectioner sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan. Make cake: Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl. Beat in sour cream and eggs. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in water and cocoa powder. Bring mixture to a boil then remove from the heat. Allow to cool slightly, then stir cocoa mixture into the flour and egg mixture until blended. Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out . About 20 minutes. While the cake is baking, make icing: Combine milk, cocoa powder, and butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, the
