DIY : Recycled Tin Cans

  • Empty cans of various sizes (depending on your plants and/or canned food preferences)
  • Paint
  • scrapbook paper (scraps)
  • glue
  • Mod podge
  • Scissors
  • Hammer and Nails (for holes -if used as a planter)

Get a tin can that was opened with a can opener that leaves the edges of the can smooth. Clean the can and make sure any sharp parts are pushed down flat with pliers.  Cut scrapbook paper or print paper to  fit your tin can and cut it out .Apply a thin even layer of glue to the entire can and to the back of the paper  Place on the can and smooth out. You can add paint, stickers  to decorate and let dry. After dry cover with Mod podge to seal.

Options : Planter

If using as a planter make holes in the bottom of can for drainage.... Lisa
