Garden time : 

Today I am sharing some fun garden cards  and tags.

My family loves visiting the local farmers market and picking up produce:  This is today tag inspiration: 

Chocolate Kisses

 

Chocolate Kiss Cookies:

• 1/3 cup  semi sweet chocolates chips
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter , softened
• 1/2 cup sugar , plus more for rolling cookies in
• 1/2 cup brown sugar , packed
• 1 teaspoons  vanilla extract
• 1 large egg
• 1 3/4 cups flour
• 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 30 Hershey kisses unwrapped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Melt the chocolate chips in a small microwave safe bowl aside and let cool.

1. To your stand mixer add the butter and sugar to a stand mixer with the beater attachment on medium speed until lightened in color and fluffy, about ( 2 minutes)
2. Add in the vanilla, egg and finally the cooled melted chocolate.
3. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt and add it into the stand mixer on low speed until just combined.
4. Scoop with a 1 tablespoon measure into a bowl of sugar and roll in the sugar. Bake 8- 10 minutes. Once baked and still hot – press in the unwrapped kisses,

Merry Monday

Merry Monday celebrates Christmas here on my blog. Today's card features Christmas holly. Which i grow in my front lawn. And attached to this lovely green paisley print paper. The simple sentiment makes it the perfect holiday card.

What is the purpose of zoos and why are they important?

Today, zoos are meant to entertain and educate the public but have a strong emphasis on scientific research and species conservation. There is a trend toward giving animals more space and recreating natural habitats. Zoos are usually regulated and inspected by the government

My son growing up loved the Zoo and we made lots of visits to meet the animals. Our local Zoo is building a new habitat for the giraffes. 

You can help to build Zoosiana's new Giraffe Center! We have dedicated a large, green pasture on the north side of the zoo as the new habitat for our giraffe family. Wild Thing : Simon Says Stamps collection: 

After a visit to the Zoo it inspired me to make some cards and tags using The Wild Thing collection. One simple stamp can be used in many different ways. 

Egg dying fun

Have you tried dying Eggs with shaving cream and food dye? 

No eggs ? You can also do this technique with white scrapbook paper and  white cotton

fabric this way too ! 

With the price of eggs .  I decided to dye plain white scrapbook paper and let it dry. And made this card. Using the paper as a background.

These are some easy quick cards while watching the Super Bowl game on Sunday 11th. 

 Using just this one stamp set and simple supplies from my stash I made some cards for friends and family. 

This stamp set from Penny Black. Limiting supplies make it easy to whip these up.
