The Summer solstice arrived and some got hot weather and some got chill and rain. But summer is the time for holidays or vacations, summertime activities and being outdoors more. It's also a time, like winter, for complaints and we realize that people in Texas, Arizona and Florida stay inside in summer.

Summer is HOT!!! a little cool weather would be a blessing.

Seeds that you sow can be money, time, or even a sacrifice. A seed can be sown into a person or even into a ministry. Can you recall a time where you sowed a seed and witnessed the fruit manifest in the same day? Were you a blessing to someone from sowing a seed of good deed into their life?

Today is a hodgepodge of question for you to ponder:
1. What TV programs that everyone else loved/loves did/do you dislike and why? Conversely, what program did you love while everyone else thought it was awful? (or maybe a song, book..etc)
I am a fan of Blue Bloods , FBI , Criminal minds.And old shows like : Columbo, Matlock, Murder she wrote.
I am not a big fan of Yellowstone : i guess i need to binge watch more.
2 Do you resent serving without thanks or do you see a higher purpose behind it?
I feed people, The guys that mow the yard, neighbors, the shut in. And I volunteer at the Food Bank in town.
3. What flavor ice cream is your favorite and how do you like it served? (Sunday, Blizzard, cone, dish?) What toppings make your day?
Rocky road in waffle cone, Strawberry in a bowl, And once a while Banana split with toppings.
4. How many pairs of shoes do you own? How many handbags? Do you use/wear them all? Should you weed them out?
Good Handbags is too many ,but I have stopped buying. And i rotate. Shoes not so many and most days flip flops or old tennis shoes.

1 cup sliced red onion, cut lengthwise
3 tablespoons lime juice
15 cups cubed watermelon
3 cups cubed English cucumber
1 (8 ounce) package feta cheese, crumbled
½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
cracked black pepper, to taste
sea salt, to taste
Place red onion slices in a small bowl; pour over lime juice. Allow onions to marinate while assembling the salad.
Gently combine watermelon, cucumber, feta cheese, and cilantro in a large bowl; season with black pepper. Toss watermelon salad with marinated onions and season with sea salt just before serving.

1. What memorable times have you had in summer?
Baseball games both college and my sons. July 4th fireworks on the River with food and fun.
2. What foods bring back that summertime feeling?
Watermelon, BBQ food of any kinds.

4.Where do you want most to be in the summer if money is no object and you have the time?
I want to take a trip to China. My hubby still has family there.
Stir together peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until combined. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place balls 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets, and flatten gently with tines of a fork. Bake at 325°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool.

I bake about once a week. I have dessert 3 to 4 times a week.
